I walked waaay too far at Woodlands this morning, and now I'm paying for it - sore legs, humming feet, and tiredness catching up with me. I thoroughly enjoyed it though! As I was getting into the car in the pre-dawn light a Red Wattlebird flew into a tree right in front of me. Luckily I already had the flash attached to the camera. A few more photo opportunities arose throughout the day, and presto, 5 more species for the year photo list. I was quite thrilled to see the Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater by the way - I've not seen one at Woodlands before. As per usual, I did get a few more photos of species not yet listed here, but, well, the photos just weren't good enough!!!!
