My final destination on January 1 was Toorbul high tide
roost. I've always wanted to visit the high tide roost, and this was the day. I
was hoping to find some less common waders, but unfortunately that wasn’t the
case. The majority of the birds were Bar-tailed Godwits, and the smaller birds
that I wanted to photograph were tucked in far behind them. Still, I got a lot
of nice godwit photos, and some more for the year list.
